This Noren was made in Ojiya City, a famous production area for Nishiki-koi(Coloured carp). A Ojiya craftsman dyed the carp by hand on the chijimi-cloth.The cloth is hand-finished to give " Shi-bo (wrinkles) " on the surface with the traditional rubbing technique dating back to 400 years ago.
