This ramie noren is full of character and charm, crafted in Ojiya, a place closely associated with Nishikigoi koi.A bold Nishikigoi design is applied to white “chijimi” fabric, which features a distinctive textured surface with fine wrinkles known as shibo. The material used for this product is called Ojiya Chijimi. Its unique texture is created through a traditional process called yumomi, in which artisans carefully knead the fabric in hot water. The result is a beautifully expressive fabric with a refined and distinctive presence.
